Under Coach Moirano, the WBS Knights Elite team clinched the Mid-Atlantic division and regular season championship titles with 80 points. Ultimately finishing 2nd overall at the USPHL National tournament and, along the way, wielding a 43-4-2 record with an astounding 30-game win streak.

Coach Moirano, more affectionately known as Coach G, is a native of Chicago, IL. Before joining the Knights, he was the Assistant Coach for the Macon Mayhem in the Southern Professional Hockey League. Moirano was also the Hockey Development & Community Relations Coordinator for the Los Angeles Kings. His time in LA was spent building the Kings brand, developing amateur hockey, and growing equity in Southern California communities.

Moirano began his academic and athletic pursuits with the International Hockey Academy in Calgary, formally known as SISEC. Upon graduating, he played a role in his team, winning a Tier III Junior national championship with the Chicago Jr. Huskies. His passion for the game guided him to play two more seasons in the Western States Hockey League and a stint in the Superior International Junior Hockey League. He ultimately finished his playing career with Midland University - ACHA DI. Coach Moirano has made two previous appearances at the USA Hockey National tournament, the latter placing 3rd at the 2016 Tier II 16U National tournament and placing 2nd at the 2023 USPHL National tournament.
