The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights are excited to announce our 2022-2023 Elite Head Coach, Reed Nichols.

Nichols grew up playing roller and ice hockey in Tampa, FL. He has won multiple national championships as a roller and ice player at the youth level. From there, Reed excelled as a forward for the Trinity Pawling Prep School in the Founders League. After High School, he went out west to play in the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League and ended his junior career with Apple Core in the Eastern Hockey League due to injury and illness. During recovery he stayed active in the local hockey community. In his hometown of Tampa, FL, Nichols was able to assist with a local high school team in winning a State Championship. The following year he was asked to step in and take over as Head Coach and was able to guide his team to the State Semifinals.

The Knights are excited for Nichols to bring his winning attitude and positive work ethic along with a brilliant sense of the game to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights organization. Reed is dedicated to helping players realize their full potential and assisting each player in achieving their goals both on and off the ice.
